The only thing I can say about this series is WOW! Really though, this is the best anime series I have ever seen, and I’ve seen many in my days. Neon Genesis Evangelion follows the story of 3 young pilots who must pilot mecha units known as Eva to fight the Angels, a menace of horrible monsters plaguing man. The character designs and development are excellent. By the time you get to the last few episodes, you literally know each character personally. The animation and numerous mecha battles are also superb. As far as story and plot, it doesn’t get any better than this. Neon Genesis Evangelion has one of the most deep and involving storylines ever. So much so that the last few episodes are a little hard to follow, and you may need to watch them more than once to truly understand them. If you don’t already own this series, you’re missing out on what I feel is probably the best anime series of all time.
